MC Lars Greatest Hits CD!!!

Yup, this is happening. I’ll be releasing the UK physical CD version of this. It’ll be available in shops and online in the summer, or from me before that. Just a few final things to iron out, and this bad-boy will be sent to press. Speaking of which, the latest instalment of Paper and Plastick’s “50 States” FREE webcomic is about the time MC Lars played with Snoop Dogg. Check it out.

Tape Series!!!

I’m struggling to come up with anything for the deluxe box artwork. Other than that, the final three tapes are sitting beside me now, and I’ve emailed off the artwork, so hopefully these will all be finished fairly soon. Then I can think of something for the collector’s boxes! There’s still time to subscribe to the whole series (and get a FREE box).

Sophie Porter EP!!!

This is completely amazing and should be ready fairly soon. I’ve sent off the art for the sleeves, and am just waiting for the final audio to wing its way to me. Seriously, Sophie is amazingly talented so I sincerely recommend this EP.

#1 - Sophie Porter has sent me the tracks from her forthcoming EP and they are truly excellent. I am excited and you should be, too.

#2 - I’ve sent the art off for the Young Attenborough mugs. YA are an ace band of friends of mine from Southampton. They recently released their demo tape, featuring awesome mug-themed art by the very talented Lewis Scott-Dyson. I had to put this art onto actual mugs. They are very limited and have the ‘tea bear’ design on one side, and ‘coffee bear’ design on the other. Oh, and they come with a download of YA’s three-track EP, too.

#3 - I’ve put something cryptic up on the ARR Facebook Page… take a look…

Update #1! Broken Window Effect!

Here’s a quick update for you. Broken Window Effect’s début EP is very nearly finished. It’s all recorded and mostly mixed. From what I’ve heard, it’s superb.

Update #2! Takeover!

Dan Allen (aka Ducking Punches and also 1/4 of Broken Window Effect) runs a night in Norwich called Out of Step, every other Wednesday at Karma Kafe. 22nd August will be an Aaahh!!! Real Records Takeover! I’ve taken over the night to bring you a jam-packed evening of ARR artists playing live.

Update #3! Secrets!

For about the past… I don’t know… year? Maybe? I’ve been telling my closest friends about this awesome release I should be doing. It looks like it’s finally happening soon. Less cryptic info in the future…

Update #4! Record Store Day!

Record Store Day was a fun day. I’m planning on a special release for RSD 2013. Nothing to report yet as I’m still waiting on some emails. If all goes to plan, though, it’ll be ace.

Update #5! Tapes!

The Fashanu tapes are done, and if you’ve subscribed to the Tape Series you should have yours by now. I’ll add it to the shop for individual purchase soon, but surely you’d rather have the whole series… ;) Speaking of the Tape Series, I’m working on the deluxe collector’s box now.

Update #6! Peterborough!

The A Great Notion and Andrew Cream CDs actually exist! I’m waiting for my batch to arrive and they’ll be available asap. Finally!

Yup, the Mike Scott CDs are totally done. The discs and sleeves arrived the other day, and I spent today copying, folding and stuffing the inserts. Get on it!
